Winona Lake, Indiana

Grace College and Seminary is a Christian Liberal Arts college with an enrollment of 1,200 students. The school is situated on a 165 acre campus near the Winona Lake shoreline, approximately 40 miles west of Fort Wayne, Indiana. The Johnson Hill Land Ethics Studio in association with William J. Johnson, FASLA, developed a framework plan to help the College evaluate options relative to the recent purchase and renovation of two older buildings near campus. The plan provides direction for both short term and long term improvements to the campus, with emphasis on strengthening campus cohesion, improving aesthetics, encouraging increased pedestrian activity, reallocation of building usage, and identifying locations for future growth. As new buildings and facilities are conceived and build, the Johnson Hill Land Ethics Studio continues to provide planning assistance on a site specific basis. Most recently, a new residential hall and improved entrance drive have been completed.
