Comprehensive Parks, Recreation, and Cultural Resources Master Plan

Cary, North Carolina

This project addressed a major expansion of Cary’s town hall campus.  The expansion included three new buildings and complete renovation of two others.  Site elements included a central courtyard and water feature, a performance lawn and stage, spaces for civic events, spaces for permanent and rotating art exhibits, accessible routes into all buildings on three levels, parking and service accommodations, and extensive plantings.  This project affirmed the Town’s commitment to strengthening the geographic and historic center of the community and to high levels of sustainable, functional and aesthetically-focused development.
